AMPERE President’s Message

Nottingham, 16th May 2022

Dear AMPERE affiliates and friends,

I would like to take the opportunity to greet you all and bring to your attention the latest developments in our community.

For some time now we have been working on developing and updating our website and I truly hope that you will find it more informative and easier to navigate.

In the last few years, we had to implement some changes to comply with the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), while taking the necessary steps to ensure that the website could be accessed via portable devices. Additionally, we have incorporated the Newsletter website within the Association website, offering a single and compact information source.

I would hope that those of you who have any information about events and approved projects, will readily be willing to prepare a short paragraph for the News, so that to ensure a more active and vivid website. The introduction of a new page fully dedicated to the events organized and endorsed by AMPERE provides a data bank for past and future events which can be enriched with new endorsed events.

With the ease in COVID-19 travel restrictions is nice to see again many of you attending conferences and meetings in person and on that note I would to bring your attention to the following events:

• AMPERE is co-organizing the 4GCMEA, 4th Global Congress on Microwave Energy Applications, 17-20 August, 2022, Chengdu, China.
• AMPERE will officially endorse the 26th Congress in Chemical and Process Engineering (CHISA 2022) in Prague this August.
• AMPERE announces the next 19th International Conference on Microwave and High-Frequency Applications: AMPERE 2023, September 2023, Cardiff, UK.
• The 56th Annual Microwave Power Symposium (IMPI 56), June 14-16, 2022, Savannah, Georgia, USA.
• The 52nd European Microwave Conference (EuMC) 27-29 September 2022, Milan, Italy.

We are looking forward to meeting again in person during these events!

Finally, we are constantly seeking ways to enhance the experience of our affiliates with AMPERE, and in that respect any feedback from you that will help us towards that goal would be always gratefully received.
